Fixed treatments consist of the combination of the bracket attached to the teeth and the dental correcting wire, which we call the arch wire, which passes through the groove in the bracket. In order for the arch wire and bracket to bond, they must be connected to each other. This connection was formerly provided with elastic or thin ligature wires.

Self Ligating Brackets do not need to use rubber or thin wires for connection. Instead, the arch wire and bracket connection is established by using a thin clip or cover inside the bracket.

In addition to being a closed system, the PDS system is distinguished from all other bracket systems by the special angles it contains.

It can be used as tooth-colored porcelain or metal.

Invisalign is a type of orthodontic treatment that provides you with a more beautiful smile and better tooth closure. It can be applied to patients with mild and moderate orthodontic problems.

Invisalign treatment is provided with thin clear plates that gradually straighten the teeth. In order to achieve this, patients should use their plates for 20 hours a day.

Plates can be easily attached and removed. In this way, the teeth can be brushed easily as usual, and there is no restriction on eating and drinking at the same time. Since the plates are transparent, they are also aesthetic.

It is treated by using joint splint in cases such as noise coming from the jaw joint when opening and closing the mouth, restriction and pain in the jaw opening, head and neck pain, tooth clenching and grinding, abnormal wear in the teeth, crack and fracture formation. A splint is a transparent, removable appliance that is placed between the teeth, applied to the lower or upper jaw. It ensures that the lower jaw, which is accustomed to incorrect closure, learns to close correctly, relaxes the muscles and allows the correct movement of the jaw. Depending on the problem in the patient, it may need to be used only at night or 24 hours, including meals.

If there is a high degree of incompatibility in the teeth and jaws, orthognathic surgery, that is, jaw surgeries applied together with orthodontic treatment, allows us to achieve a smooth jaw closing relationship. Orthognathic surgery is applied through the mouth under general anesthesia after growth and development is completed. Surgery planning is done by the orthodontist and plastic surgeon. The operations can be applied to one chin, two chins, as well as to the chin, cheekbones and nose.

We recommend that the first meeting with the orthodontist be made around the age of 6-7. In this period, milk teeth and permanent teeth are in the mouth, so it is called mixed dentition. Orthodontic treatment usually starts around the age of 12, with the completion of permanent dentition, but in some cases, early intervention may be required. Treatments started at this age usually last between 6 months and 1 year.
